EC1 Neighbourhood Manager WANTED (maternity cover-12 month contract) up to £45,000 per year

 

 

We are seeking a dynamic Neighbourhood Manager who is passionate about empowering communities and ensuring that public services are joined up.

You will have the skills and experience to:

  • Influence and co-ordinate local service provision, particularly those aimed at tackling child poverty, older person’s isolation,  aspirations in young people and worklessness

  • Raise the profile of and advocate for the neighbourhood

  • Encourage and enable real community participation in decision-making

You will need: a track record of successful partnership working; the ability to relate well to and influence a wide range of stakeholders; an excellent understanding of neighbourhood renewal and community engagement.

St Luke’s Trust is delivering the Neighbourhood Management programme as part of the EC1 New Deal for Communities succession strategy. St Luke’s Trust is an historic charity working in a multiply-deprived neighbourhood in south Islington, London. We are passionate about improving the lives of local people, and provide services and a community centre to help the area thrive.

Closing date: 10am, 10th March 2010. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 17th March 2010.

 

The EC1 Neighbourhood Management initiative supported by Islington Council and EC1 New Deal for Communities (NDC). It is managed by St Luke’s Trust and will continue to provide residents with a say in how services are delivered in their community when the NDC programme ends in March 2011.
