Employment and training

We offer a range of employment and training services to local residents. In 2009, we ran a horticultural training programme successfully getting over 12 long-term unemployed people into local employment.

Please contact us if you need advice on finding employment or related training by calling Jason Tetley on 0207 549 8199

Currently we offer the following support:

Employment advice

If you are living in Islington, pop in to see our Islington Working employment advisor James Holland or call him on 0207 549 8181 to make an appointment.

James can help you get a job, assist you with your CV, help your application, and direct you towards training opportunities.

Basic computer skills - one-to-one mentoring

Do you know someone who wants to learn about computers and the internet, but they don't have the equipment to start off, or don't like formal teaching methods.  We have the answer!

Volunteers from Slaughter and May and RGA give up their time to teach people the absolute basics of computing in our UK Online Centre on a one-to-one basis on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm – 4 pm.

Call our reception on 020 7549 8181 to make an appointment or pop in to find out more.
