Whitecross Street Party / EC1 Summer FestivalSt Luke's was proud to organise the 2010 EC1 Summer Festival jointly with the Whitecross Street Party over the weekend of 24th and 25th July 2010. A street party with a difference. Whitecross Street, known for its fantastic
foodie street market, transformed this little south Islington street into an open-air gallery showing works
of urban art from artists including Gavin Turk, Shepherd Fairey and Filthy Luker. To celebrate this, there were a host of activities throughout
the weekend of 23rd -24th July offering street art, street food and street
entertainment. Part of the Barbican's '101 Things to do this summer', the event
included live art demonstrations, giant knitting, canival parades, silk

prey and lots more.
