Services for our older users

St Luke's Centre brings older people together, promotes health and well being, encourages people to learn new skills, and establishes and maintains social contact.

The Centre is renowned for being friendly, fun and vibrant, as well as the high quality and wide variety of services available.

Membership

To be able to take part in the services and activities which are just for older users you will need to become a 'member' of St Luke's. To be eligible for membership you will need to live within the area of benefit, be aged 55+, and pay a one-off application fee of £5. Members can then enjoy most services free of charge. Contact Reception for more details.

Older people who live outside the area of benefit, and guests of members, can also enjoy our services and activities but may be asked to pay a supplement. Priority will always be given to local people if space is limited.

With almost 900 registered older members and over 110 visiting each day we are an important part of the local older community.

The older people's services are currently available from Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. Some members stay at the Centre all day, some come for lunch or a class, and others just pop in for a cup of tea and to say hello to friends.

Values

Our values are to promote independence and choice to older people. We respect our users' wishes and dignity. Our staff are welcoming and professional. St Luke's values them and in turn they are deeply passionate about what they do for our community.
