Two of Central Street Café’s popular dishes - avocado on toast & creamy scrambled eggs on sourdough

Central Street Café’s step-by-step guide on how we serve our avocado on toast:

1. Toast your favourite bread, we use sourdough
2. In a bowl, smash one ripe avocado
3. When toast is done put a generous amount of avocado on top
4. Season with salt and pepper
5. Drizzle with lemon olive oil
6. Sprinkle with chilli flakes and mixed seeds, we use pumpkin, sesame and sunflower
7. In a bowl crumble feta with chopped parsley
8. Add feta to the avocado on toast
9. Serve with a wedge on lemon

One of the most asked questions from our customers in Central Street Café is how do you make your eggs so creamy - so here is our way of making scrambled eggs:

1. In a bowl beat 2 large free range eggs and add a splash of double cream.
2. On a frying pan heat some olive oil and a knob of butter
3. On a medium heat add the egg mixture and using a spatula keep the eggs moving
4. When it has come together serve straight away on some toasted sourdough (or any of your favourite bread)
5. Season with salt and pepper
6. Top with chopped chives
7. Great by its self or add some crispy bacon or smoked salmon and lemon wedge.
