Charities across the nation are facing huge financial challenges as a result of coronavirus. Many smaller charities rely on income raised during public events held in the spring and summer and larger charities, such as St Luke’s, are also losing interest from investments and sales income from their social enterprises.

To keep providing our vital front-line services, St Luke’s will be applying for support from the emergency funding programmes currently being announced. Last week we were delighted to be awarded £5,000 from the City Bridge Trust supporting our lunch deliveries and we hope to share more news of successful funding appeals over the coming months.

In the meantime, we are grateful to everybody who has so generously supported our Just Giving appeal which, to date, has raised more than £12,000. We want to thank all our supporters who have helped at this difficult time and give special mention to Becky Weston who has been busy fundraising by making facemasks. We also appreciate the continued support from all our corporate partners, particularly Allianz Global Investors, CMS and e-Synergy Solutions, for their very generous Just Giving donations.
