About us Latest news St Luke's celebrates LGBT History Month February is LGBT History month and to celebrate this year St Luke's partnered with Forum+ on two special events. Cooking with PrideWednesday 19th Februaury We got together in the cookery school to whip up some delicious recipes, led by Chef Mikhail in a social, friendly atmosphere. We then all sat down to eat and have fun together, and made some new friends! Following the success of the first Cooking with Pride event we're going to make it a regular class for all LGBT Islington residents - keep your eyes on the website for more info! LGBT Film ClubWednesday 26th February We also started a brand new Film Club for LGBT Islington residents where we get together to watch an LGBT or curturally relevant film, and have a short discussion about it. At our first LGBT Film CLub we watched The Happy Prince (2018) - a brilliant film about the life of Oscar Wilde after he leaves prison and heads to Paris. The film brought up lots of topical issues, and was a stark reminder of the issues LGBT people faced not so long ago. We will be running the LGBT Film Club monthly on the last Wednesday of the month. The next one will be Wedensday 25th March. Feel free to come along! Thank you so much to Forum+ for partnering on these events!
