On Wednesday 22nd August we fired up the brand new wood fired pizza oven for our staff Summer Party.

During the day staff helped our professional pizza maker and chef, Maurizio, with preparations for the antipasti which included freshly made focaccia, olives, salads, cheese and meat platters and dips. 

Staff also helped to decorate the outside area and Edible Yard with beautiful bunting and colourful fans, ready for the party! 

As the party began, Maurizio took groups into the kitchen to learn how to become a “pizzaiolo” (pizza chef). We started by rolling the dough out to shape, then adding freshly made tomato sauce and ingredients of our choosing.

Maurizio then took our creations to the wood fired pizza oven for cooking. All pizzas were shared with the team, if you were quick enough to snap up a slice! 

Lots of fun was has by all, and it was great fun to cook and eat outside with the team!
