  • Monthly cookery club

One evening every month we invite an expert chef to come to Central Street Cookery School and deliver a specialised class for those interested in learning new skills and cooking a delicious meal in a friendly group.

  • Family Cookery Workshops

In conjunction with our corporate partners, Hogan Lovells and Clerkenwell Waitrose, we are able to invite local families on low income to our workshops that focus on teaching family recipes that are low cost and nutritious.

  • Bilingual Cookery Club

The purpose of these classes is that of integrating members of different communities by cooking both in English and in native languages so food is used as a medium of communication. English speakers keen on learning second language are welcome to join.

  • Over 55s Baking Sessions

We like to have a lot of fun at St Luke’s and each month we have a tea party for our elderly members. Central Street Cookery School contributes to the fun by making cakes for these celebrations.

  • Multicultural Cookery Club

St Luke's offers a monthly session of cultural and culinary exchanges, where members from various backgrounds get together to cook and enjoy a lovely meal inspired by their cultures, exchanging recipes, ideas and cooking styles.

  • Family Cook and Eat

Every Monday afternoon we welcome families to join us for our amazing family cookery clubs. Each week one of our chefs devises wonderful recipes from the food delivered from generous organisations who would otherwise have to throw it away.

  • Ready Steady Let's Cook!

On Monday mornings we get together to cook with our adult community neighbours. Each week one of our chefs devises wonderful recipes from the food delivered by our generous donors. This way we not only cook together and strengthen community integration.

    About the centre

We own a large Community Centre on the edge of the City of London, a diverse area containing extremes of wealth and poverty. Our modern Community Centre provides a space for local people to gather and socialise, and for us and other organisations to deliver services and activities for the local community at little or no cost.

  • Garden Room

With its own private entrance and exclusive use of a terrace garden, this spacious and flexible room offers the perfect setting for conferences, seminars, training events and parties. It is a blank canvas to create the right setting and configuration for your event, and benefits from neutral, stylish décor and lots of natural light.

  • The Loft

The Loft occupies the whole third floor of the Community Centre, and has exclusive use of an entrance (ante) room, kitchen area and toilet, within this spacious and versatile area. It is bright and airy, and ideal for meetings, conferences, training, seminars or less formal events. Its exposed Victorian steel beams and skylight windows offer wonderful views over the roof tops of London.
