The Worrall and Fuller Exhibition Fund (Charity number 312507) is recruiting additional members to its Board of Governors.

Dating back to 1689, we are a small charity that supports the education and training of children and
young people who live in, study in or have parents working in, the southern part of Islington – the
former London Borough of Finsbury. We make grants, ranging from about £250 – £750 each, to
children and young people each year for educational and vocational purpose. Our current priorities
are to help meets the cost of extra-curricular, non-mainstream education and out-of-school activities.
St Luke’s Centre provides us with a Clerk for the charity, and administrative support.

We have entered an exciting stage in the life of the charity, as we have recently received a significant
boost to our financial resources arising from a land sale. This will increase the number and size of the
grants that we are able to make.

Ideally as a Governor you would:
• have experience of investment and financial management, especially in the non- profit sector
• be living in our area of operation, or have other personal connections with it
• have an understanding of state education
• support the Chair in the current period of transition and growth
• be able to attend four Board meetings (usually on a Tuesday morning) a year and be available
from time to time for other consultations

The Governors’ positions are unpaid.

If you are interested in this opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of inner-city children and
young people, please apply by sending your CV and covering letter to [email protected]
