Why We Need Your Support
St Luke’s Community Centre relies on the generosity and support of individuals, businesses and trusts to maintain our much-needed services for the local community and keep our Community Centre open for the people who need it in the area. Our modern Community Centre is a lifeline to many, with thousands of visitors each month, and helps to alleviate poverty, social problems and poor health through the provision of a wide range of services and activities including: employment and training, social care for the elderly, legal access, children’s services, a food hub, wellbeing support, a warm space and community cookery classes.
The diversity of our projects and the fact that we work with people of all ages from children and young people to older people means there is always an aspect of our work that will inspire you as an individual or company to get involved. We give children living in the area the chance to experience activities they might not otherwise have access to. We reach out to older people who might otherwise be isolated with our daily Lunch Club and activities.
There are many ways in which you can get involved supporting our local community – we value both your time and your financial support. Why not help at one of our community events or support us through individual donations? You can also sign-up to our volunteering programme or contact us and find out more about our award winning Corporate Engagement projects. We would be delighted to welcome you on board in whatever you decide to do!
