Lunches at St Luke's

We love welcoming Islington residents who are over 55 into our Centre every weekday for our Lunch Club, with a three-course freshly-prepared subsidised lunch on offer from 12-2pm Monday-Friday. Prices for main course is £3.50, 2 courses £4.50 and three courses £5.50. This includes a roast dinner on a Wednesday and fish and chips Friday!

We are fully set up for contactless payments. All meals are carefully planned and prepared on the day by chefs in our kitchen.

If you have mobility issues, we can organise transport to and from our Centre in our own minibus. Please contact us to discuss.

Lunch Club is open to anyone over 55 living in Islington, but if you are in our area of benefit you can become a member and use the facilities in our Club Room daily, and take part in the many activities and social events run for over 55s, including gardening, art and exercise classes. Find out more in our Membership section, or call and discuss with a member of staff.

We have been awarded a 5-star food and hygiene again in 2023 for our Food Hub, Catering Service & Cookery School.

If you live in our area of benefit you can get details of becoming a member here.

For information on any of the above, please call our helpline on 020 7549 8181 (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm).

What we do and who we help

We are a community hub in South Islington providing services, activities and events for local residents of all ages, including after school clubs, employment support and gardening for older people. Our large, modern community centre on Central Street is a great backdrop for our varied activities and we have several outdoor areas for visitors to enjoy. Our spaces are also available to hire for community groups or private functions.

  • Garden Room

The largest of our meeting rooms, the Garden Room has its own private entrance from the street and exclusive use of a terrace garden. It is a blank canvas to create the right setting and configuration for your event, and benefits from neutral, stylish décor and is flooded with dappled natural light.

  • The Loft

The Loft occupies the whole third floor of the Community Centre, and has exclusive use of an entrance (ante) room, kitchen area and toilet, within this spacious and versatile area. It is bright and airy, and ideal for meetings, conferences, training, seminars or less formal events. Its exposed Victorian steel beams and skylight windows offer wonderful views over the roof tops of London.
