Age UK Islington offers free, confidential, and independent support. They can help with benefits & debt, housing issues, emotional support, practical support at home, and support for unpaid carers. You can contact their helpline on 020 72816018.
City University Law School’s Community Legal Advice Centre (CityCLAC)
Provide free legal advice on several areas of law to the local community, CityCLAC are building their capacity to advise on the following areas: social housing disrepair, employment law, small business law, civil litigation, immigration matters, consumer issues, school exclusions and personal injury claims. Cost of Living Crisis Clinic
Cost-of-living crisis clinics are provided by Westway Trust and take place at St Luke’s. Appointments are on Tuesdays, starting at 9:00 am and generally last over an hour.
The clinic offers a free service helping our community to make successful applications for:
- Welfare Benefits
- Social Housing
- Lower Thames Water and Broadband tariffs
- Crisis Grants and general grants for you or your family (which do not need to be repaid)
The clinic also offers a free appeals service, including representation, for those challenging disability benefits decisions.
